Mayawati takes dig at BJP's leadership over alliance in Bihar, Maharashtra, TN
Lucknow, Feb 20 (IBNS): Countering Prime Minister Narendra Modi's reference to the opposition alliance as 'mahamilavat', Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Wednesday took a dig at the leadership of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which recently sealed three alliances in Bihar, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
In a couple of tweets, Mayawati said people of the country won't give the BJP a second chance even if the saffron brigade forms multiple alliances.

In a follow up tweet, Mayawati, who is fighting the upcoming polls in an alliance with the Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh, said: "No matter how many alliances it forms, people of the country won't pardon the BJP. The BJP government will not come to power."

Despite criticising its bigger ally, BJP, in last few years repeatedly, Shiv Sena finally formed an alliance with the BJP in Maharashtra for the forthcoming polls. The Sena had earlier even said it would go solo in the Lok Sabha polls.
In Bihar, the BJP will continue with its age-old ally, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United).
In an effort to make gain in southern state Tamil Nadu, the BJP has stitched an alliance with AIADMK to fight the upcoming polls.
On the other hand, the disparate opposition forces are vowing to come together at the national level, leaving behind their differences at the state level.
