Lucknow/UNI: Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) supremo Mayawati has called for all political parties, state governments and industrialists to support the Covid vaccination drive for 18 yrs and above in the country which gets underway today.

She also lauded the move of several foreign countries in providing medical and other help to fight against the menace, adding that it will certainly control the spread of virus in the country.

In a series of tweets on Saturday, Mayawati said, "All the state governments should come forward for mutual support to make the vaccination program for 18 years and above started today to make it successful leaving aside their politics and vested interest. This is what the common people of the country want."

She said the big capitalists and industrialists of the country must also participate in this corona vaccine programme with vigor and generosity. They should help the central and state governments in the same way as they do through 'Electoral Bonds' etc to fund parties.

The BSP chief further said, "As a result of the uncontrolled situation of the corona outbreak in the country, several countries are coming forward to help India in getting grants and medical supplies etc. from abroad. It is commendable and this will make the situation of the country a little better during this pandemic."
