Militant trying to flee to Pak arrested from Attari border, brought to Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 24 (UNI): An absconder, who was wanted in a militant attack in the summer capital, Srinagar, was arrested while trying to flee to Pakistan through Attari Border in Punjab.

A police official on Sunday said that on specific leads developed during investigation, one individual, who was wanted in a militant attack case in Srinagar, was arrested at Attari Border when he was trying to flee to Pakistan with the support of the co-conspirators based across the border.

He said the accused, identified as Mohammad Tehseen Gujri was evading arrest since the commission of the attack in Srinagar. “Gujri was wanted by the investigation agency for his role in the militant attack case,” he said.

The official said after being arrested, he was brought to Srinagar for questioning and further investigation.
