Miscreants torch 10 houses in Manipur’s Senapati district

Guwahati, Sept 17 (IBNS) : Manipur’s Senapati district remained tensed after some miscreants suspected to be volunteers of Maram Khullen Circle Union, who were equipped with sophisticated weapons, destroyed and torched more than 10 houses at Makhan village area in the wee hours ton Tuesday.

According to the reports, some armed miscreants had entered into the village in Senapati district and torched down more than 10 houses.

Properties worth several lakh of rupees were reduced to ashes in the incident.

Following the incident, the angry villagers have blockade Imphal-Dimapur road and restricted vehicular movement on the National Highway – 2.

The villagers demanded the government to take stern action against the miscreants within 24 hours.
