Modi begins his five-nation tour, to inaugurate Afghan Friedndship dam today

New Delhi, June 4 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Afghan-India Friendship Dam in Herat, the first stopover of his five-nation tour that begins on Saturday.

PM Modi is traveling to Afghanistan for the second time in six months. The 'Afghan-India Friendship Dam' is also called 'Salma Dam'.

According to the official itinerary announced by the Ministry of External Affairs, Modi  will l reach Herat around noon. The Inauguration of India-Afghanistan Friendship Dam will be followed by lunch hosted by President Ashraf Ghani. 

Modi will then pay a brief  visit to Indian Consulate at Herat, where he will interact  with Consulate staff and ITBP personnel.

He will leave for Doha in the evening  at 5 pm (7.30 IST),where he will visit a workers Camp. He will attend a dinner hosted by the  Qatar Prime Minister around 7:20 pm (9.20pm IST) .
