Moral policing: Mob beat and strip girl over alleged involvement in flesh trade

Guwahati, Apr 10 (IBNS): In a shocking incident of moral policing,  a section of people of a village in Assam’s Baksa district stripped a girl naked and beat her up severely.

The incident was took place at Suwagpur in Baksa district.

According to reports, some villagers alleged that the particular girl was involved in flesh trade.

In the videos gone viral, it could be seen that some women of the locality also took part in the attack and physically assaulted the unfortunate girl.

Not only the girl, the miscreants also beat a man and tied both with ropes.

Later, the miscreants uploaded the videos in social media.

Meanwhile, police has not able to nab any person and no case has been registered.

Recently, another moral policing incident was reported from Goalpara’s Krishnai area along the Assam-Meghalaya border, where a couple were allegedly beaten up by miscreants on accusations that, the girl was roaming with a minority community youth in public place.

On Tuesday, Goalpara police arrested 12 persons who allegedly beaten the girl along the Assam-Meghalya border
