New Delhi, Nov 30 (IBNS) : In a shift of focus from note ban to the Nagrota incident in which seven army personnel were killed, the Opposition on Wednesday raised a storm in both Houses of Parliament, refusing to let the proceedings continue and demanding a debate on repeated terror attacks on the country's military bases.

Amid repeated disruptions and slogan shouting, the Rajya Sabha was adjouned  till 12 noon.

As the Opposition raised the issue at the beginning proceedings, Bahujan Samaj Party leader Maywati said that ever since the surgical strike, many soldiers have been killed, but the Government is not showing enough sensitivity.

Joining her in the demand for a discussion, other Opposition members stormed the well and raise slogans of "Tanashahi nahi chalegi" (Dictatorship won't do), which forced Deputy Chairman P J Kurien to adjourn the House till 12 pm.

The Lok Sabha, Congress members, led by Rahul Gandhi, staged a walkout in protest against what they alleged dishonour to the soldiers, who had died in terror attacks.

"Whenever someone dies, we respect them  and honour them. The jawans who died recently were not honoured and that is why the opposition and our entire party is staging a walkout," he said.
