Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis reiterated their firm commitment to further strengthen India-Greece Strategic Partnership during their telephonic conversation on Friday.

During the interaction, the two leaders reviewed progress in a number of areas of bilateral cooperation, including trade, defence, shipping and connectivity, in follow-up to PM Mitsotakis’s visit to India earlier this year.

They appreciated the momentum generated in bilateral ties through recent high-level exchanges.

"The two leaders also exchanged views on various regional and global issues of interest, including IMEEC and developments in West Asia," read a statement issued by the Indian government.

"Yesterday, had a productive conversation with PM @kmitsotakis, reaffirming our shared commitment to strengthening the India-Greece Strategic Partnership. Together, we aim to deepen our collaboration across trade, defence, shipping and connectivity. Greece is a valued partner for India within the EU as well," Modi posted on X.
