Narendra Modi pays homage to former PM PV Narasimha Rao on his birth anniversary

New Delhi, June 28 (IBNS): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid homage to former Indian PM PV Narasimha Rao on his birth anniversary.

Modi said PV Narasimha Rao led the nation at a crucial time.

Calling the former PM's leadership as vital, Modi tweeted: "Tributes to Shri PV Narasimha Rao on his birth anniversary. He led India at a crucial time & his leadership was both notable & vital."

Rao had served the nation as the PM from 1991 to 1996.

He died on Dec 23, 2004.
