Narendra Modi pays homage to Lal Bahadur Shastri

New Delhi, Jan 11 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid homage to late Prime Minister of India Lal Bahadur Shastri on his death anniversary.

PM Modi took to Twitter to pay his respects.

Lauding Shastri's integrity, The PM wrote: "Remembering Shastri ji on his Punya Tithi. His courage, integrity & simplicity endeared him to each & every citizen of our nation."

Shastri died in Tashkent, Uzbekistan while still in office under mysterious circumstances.

His death raised a lot of issues, with his family alleging murder.
