Narendra Modi speaks with Italian PM over COVID-19

New Delhi/IBNS: Indian PM Narendra Modi on Friday spoke with his Italian counterpart Giuseppe Conte and condoled the loss of lives due to COVID-19 outbreak in the country.

Modi said he told Conte that Italy and India will work together to fight the challenges world will face after the COVID-19 outbreak.

"Conveyed my deep condolences to PM @GiuseppeConteIT  for the loss of lives in Italy due to COVID-19. India and Italy will work together for addressing the challenges of the post-COVID world, including through our consecutive presidencies of the G20" Modi said.

The virus is believed to have originated from China.

It has now spread across the globe.
