Navjot Singh Sidhu launches own party 'Awaaz-e-Punjab'

Chandigarh, Set 8 (IBNS): Ending all speculation, former Indian cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu on Thursday launched his own political party Awaaz-e-Punjab.

The launch was made as Punjab is gearing up for the Assembly polls in the next few months.

The former international cricketer said the party will aim at resurrection, and revival of Punjab.

Attacking Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Sidhu said :"You only want yes men."

Former BJP MP, Sidhu had quit the Rajya Sabha membership as he was asked to stay away from Punjab by the party.

Sidhu had been upset with the BJP since 2014, when his parliamentary constituency of Amritsar was assigned to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who lost the election.
