NDA govt has goal set for Budget session
New Delhi, Jan 29 (IBNS): The ruling NDA government's last session in Parliament will be a busy two weeks with it trying to pass critical bills that would otherwise expire.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, the Narendra Modi government intends to clear the three ordinances — to penalise instant triple talaq, allow a panel to run the Medical Council of India, and approve an amendment to the Company Law.
The January 31 to February 13 session will have 10 working days.
While four days are expected to be dedicated to discussions on the President's speech and the budget, the first two days will be spend on the President's speech to the joint sitting of the two Houses. Another day will be reserved for private members' bills.
That leave a maximum of four days for passing these key bills.
