NDFB(S) militant nabbed in Assam
Guwahati, Oct 9 (IBNS): Security forces on Thursday night apprehended a hardcore NDFB(S) militant from Assam's Bongaigaon district, officials said on Friday.
Based on specific intelligence, army and Assam Police had jointly launched operation in Bongaigaon district and apprehended a hardcore militant of the Bodo outfit group.
The nabbed militant was identified as HirimboNarzary.
One 7.65 mm pistol was recovered from him along with some ammunition.
“The terrorist was trained for subversive activities in 2010 and was involved in the Dec 2014 carnage of Adivasis,” BTAD IGP Dr LR Bisnoi said.
