NDFB(S) ultra nab in Assam

Guwahati, Aug 27 (IBNS) : The security forces on Thursday nabbed a militant belonging to NDFB(S) from Chirang district in Assam.

Following a tip-off, the Army and the Police had jointly launched operation in the BTAD district and apprehended the militant.

The nabbed militant was identified as Swamla Basumutary alias Sohitab and security personnel recovered a pistol and some ammunition in possession from him.

"The militant is 34 batch trained from Myanmar in 2010 and was responsible for the adivasi massacre in December 2014. He was moving in the G Bidai group since December 2014, " defence spokesman based in Guwahati said.
