NIA busts IS module in Uttar Pradesh, 5 arrested

Lucknow, Dec 26 (IBNS):  During a joint operation conducted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and UP’s anti-terror squad (ATS), five people allegedly connected with a new ISIS module have been arrested from Amroha area in Uttar Pradesh, media reports said.

The raids were conducted on the basis of information regarding a new ISIS module named ‘Harkat-ul-Harb-e-Islam’, reported Hindustan Times.

Inspector General of Police of UP ATS Asim Arun told the newspaper that five people linked to a terror group have been arrested.

He further told the newspaper that one person has been arrested from a madrasa in Amroha while four others were arrested from other places.  

Explosives were reportedly recovered from the arrested people.

Raids were also reportedly conducted in Delhi.
