Nitin Gadkari takes charge of his ministry
New Delhi, May 29 (IBNS) Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Gadkari on Thursday took charge as the Minister of Road Transport and Highways and Shipping.
"I requested the PM to give me the transport ministry as I am experienced in this field. I believe transportation, power, water and communication need to be developed for the overall progress of India," said Gadkari after taking charge of his ministry.
Gadkari was the former president of the BJP.
