Nitish Kumar meets PM Modi, backs Centre over agriculture laws
New Delhi/IBNS: Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) supremo Nitish Kumar on Thursday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Kumar said his party supports the Centre on the farmers' issue and hoped that the differences will be resolved soon.
Kumar also said that the government has taken the right step by holding talks with the protesting farmers' union leaders.

Since Nov 26, 2020, thousands of farmers have gathered at the border of Delhi protesting against the three new farm laws which were enacted by the Centre through an Ordinance and later controversially passed by Parliament.
This was Kumar's first meeting with PM Modi after his government assumed power in Bihar in November last year.
