No relief for Ashok Chavan in Adarsh scam

Mumbai, Nov 19 (IBNS) It is bad news for former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Congress leader Ashok Chavan as there is no reprieve for him in the Adarsh scam case by the Bombay High Court.

The high court has refused to grant him any relief in the case though investigating agency CBI had sought to remove him name in the scam.

The application of CBI has been rejected by the court which said an interim relief has already been granted to him.

Adarsh, the 30-storey apartment building, housing many top level defence officials, was built on a disputed army land at Colaba in Mumbai and it was alleged that the flats meant for the families of the Kargil martyrs were allotted to top defence officials and kins of politicians.
