Islamabad, July 13 (IBNS): Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday 'condemned' the death of 'Kashmiri youth' during the ongoing violence in the Indian state.

"Condemning Indian brutal killings of innocent Kashmiri youth, COAS reiterated that the world needs to recognize the aspirations of Kashmiri people, their struggle for freedom and help resolve the long standing dispute for lasting amity in Kashmir and enduring peace in the region," Pakistan's ISPR issued a statement quoting Sharif.

Even as Indian government asked Pakistan to "refrain" itself from interfering in the internal matters, the neigbouring country continues to do so which is leading to worsening of the unrest condition in the Kashmir Valley over the shooting of 22-year-old terrorist Burhan Wani.

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has called a special meeting on Friday to discuss theKashmir issue.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that the government and people of Pakistan respect the sentiments of their Kashmiri brethren and will "continue to support the Kashmircause at each and every forum internationally come what may."

Sharif said that the voice and struggle of the people of Indian occupied Kashmir cannot be "suppressed through use of brutal force and human rights abuses."

He said that the purpose of the special cabinet meeting is to devise the way forward for supporting the leadership and the people of IOK in the wake of the rapidly deteriorating situation in IOK due to "oppressive actions" of Indian security forces against innocent civilians of Jammu & Kashmir.

"The Prime Minister stated that the resolution of the Jammu & Kashmir dispute is only possible by the realisation of the right to self determination of the people of Jammu&Kashmir, as per the UNSC resolutions , through a fair and impartial plebiscite under UN auspices," an official statement from Islamabad claimed.

India on Monday urged the country to refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of its neighbours.

"We have seen statements from Pakistan on the situation in the Indian state of Jammu andKashmir. They reflect Pakistan's continued attachment to terrorism and its usage as an instrument of State policy. Pakistan is advised to refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of its neighbours," read a statement issued by MEA spokesperson on Monday.

The Valley has been on edge since the killing top Hizb commander Burhan Wani along with his two associates on Friday evening in South Kashmir.

Wani, a 22-year-old commander of Kashmir's largest militant group HM, was killed along with two associates during a brief gun battle with government forces on Friday.
