Parliament adjourned over Venkaiah remark on Rahul
While Naidu said he did not mean to hurt anyone with his remark on Rahul's leave for introspection on the poll defeats, Congress president Sonia Gandhi said the Parliamentary Affairs Minister should express his regret over his remarks.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has taken a break from politics in an attempt to 'reflect on recent events'.
Senior party leader Digvijaya Singh said the timing of the leave could have been better.
"If Rahul wans to reflect what went wrong [ read electoral debacles of Congress] why criticise him ? Every one wants some peace to reflect. Only timing could have been better," tweeted Singh, known for his proximity to the Gandhi family.
Rahul Gandhi's absence from party affairs and the ongoing Budget Session of the Parliament on Monday invited criticisms from the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Rahul Gandhi has always been seen as a reluctant Prince of the Congress party. He has so far failed to woo voters for the Congress.
