Paswan says his prediction on Lok Sabha results proven true

Patna, May 24 (UNI): Union Minister and LJP president Ramvilas Paswan today said that he was not a 'weather scientist' but his predictions on NDA bagging all 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar proved almost true as NDA candidates emerged victorious in 39 seats in the state.

Mr Paswan, in presence of newly elected MPs of his party, told media persons that well before the beginning of election process, he had predicted the NDA would win all 40 Lok Sabha seats in the state and it proved almost true.

NDA candidates registered victories with impressive margin in 39 seats while Congress managed to win the Kishanganj Lok Sabha seat.

"For my earlier predictions on political scenario and election results proving true, RJD chief Lalu Prasad had once described me as 'weather scientist' which he meant political weather,” Paswan said adding that he was not a weather scientist but he had vast experience to judge the course of politics taking shape in days ahead.

When Grand Alliance comprising RJD, JD(U) and Congress was formed before 2015 Bihar Assembly elections, he claimed to have said that the alliance would not last more than two years and in 2017, the alliance collapsed after chief minister Nitish Kumar dumped it and joined hands with BJP to form new NDA government in the state.

The LJP leader said, under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, NDA registered landslide victory in Lok Sabha elections across the country and in many states, NDA had won all the seats.

Paswan said that all caste barriers and arguments of pseudo secularism had vanished in this elections due to strong wave in favour of Prime Minister Modi. The RJD is considered a party with strong mass base in Bihar could not open its account in elections, he said adding that barring Congress, all parties in Grand Alliance drew blank in the state. In fact, career of several RJD leaders came to an end in this elections, he added.
