Pathankot attack: Shiv Sena slams Modi for his Pakistan diplomacy

| | Jan 05, 2016, at 08:22 pm
Mumbai, Jan 5 (IBNS) The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s disgruntled ally Shiv Sena, has slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Pakistan policy and his recent show of bonhomie with Nawaz Sharif, in the aftermath of the Pathankot terror attack by militants from across the border.

In its mouthpiece Saamna, Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Thackeray said the PM should focus on home instead of trying to unite the world.

It said seven Indian soldiers died in return of a cup of tea with Sharif and Modi should concentrate on home front instead of trying to unite the world, as it hit out at Modi's surpise visit to Pakistan.

It said the PM was in Lahore as guest of Nawaz Sharif recently but Pakistan should not be trusted was warned by them always.

India has urged Pakistan to take action against Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists based on its soil who targetted an Indian air base at Pathankot in Punjab, killing seven Indian security men since Jan 2. Six militants were gunned down too.

Media reports said India has shared a dossier with Pakistan with evidence of how JeM is involved in the attack.

The evidence included call records. The calls originated from Pakistan.
