PIL against Lalu's sons in Patna High Court for hiding property details in poll affidavits

Patna, Apr 20 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): A public interest litigation (PIL) was on Thursday filed against deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav and his elder brother and health minister Tej Paratp Yadav in the Patna High Court, charging them with hiding their property details in his election affidavits.

Both are sons of RJD president Lalu Prasad whose party returned to power after a gap of full one decade.

In his PIL, the complainant has sought for cancelling House members of the brothers charging them with concealing their property details in the polls affidavits and has also demanded a CBI inquiry into their property.

The PIL was filed by a senior HC advocate Manibhushan Pratap Senger, known for filing cases against corruption.

The filing of the case comes in the backdrop of senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi accusing Prasad family of amassing huge property by alleged fraudulent means—a charge having been trashed by the RJD chief.

The corruption cases against the Yadav family which ruled Bihar for 15 years surfaced last fortnight soon after they began constructing perhaps the biggest mall of the state in Patna.
