PM condoles loss of life in Odisha floods

New Delhi, Aug 16 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday condoled the loss of life in the recent floods in Odisha.

The Prime Minister has sanctioned Rs. 2 lakhs for each of the deceased, and Rs. 50,000 for each of the seriously injured, from the Prime Minister`s National Relief Fund.

"The amount will be disbursed directly to the district collectors," the Prime MInister's Office (PMO) said in a statement.

The Prime Minister spoke to the Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas,  Dharmendra Pradhan, and sought information on the situation arising out of the floods.
