PM Modi arrives in Udaipur to inaugurate several road projects

Udaipur, Aug 29 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Udaipur, Rajasthan, on Tuesday, for inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of several major highway projects in the region, according to media reports.

The Prime Minister was received at the airport by Governor of Rajasthna Kalyan Sing, the state chief minister Vasundhara Raje and others.

Among the projects that will be inaugurated by the PM  are a six-lane Cable Stayed Bridge across river Chambal at Kota; four laning of Gomati Chauraha - Udaipur section of NH-8; and four laning of Rajsamand-Bhilwara section of NH-758.

The PM will also lay the foundation stone for the Jaipur Ring Road.

He will later visit the Pratap Gaurav Kendra in Udaipur.

The Kendra provides information through various exhibits, about the life and achievements of Maharana Pratap, one of India's much-acclaimed ruler from the former kingdom of Mewar.
