PM Modi asks BJP lawmakers not to cross 'Laxman Rekha'
The PM emphasized that development work undertaken by the party’s lawmakers must be “visible and not just on paper”. He also warned party MPs not to cross the “Laxman Rekha” that may hurt the party and government’s image.
PM Modi is reportedly displeased at the controversial comments of party MP Sakshi Maharaj who had last week described Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse as a “patriot”.
Earlier, he had also warned Union minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti for using an expletive at a campaign rally in Delhi.
The PM then had urged party lawmakers not to address the nation out of turn. “I will not compromise on this,” he had warned.
