PM Modi calls meeting on Thursday to review the Most Favoured Nation status to Pakistan
Last week the Government had said that the matter was under consideration giving a hint that 'most favoured nation' status accorded to Pakistan in 1966 may be withdrawn or downgraded.
Union Minister of State for Finance Arjun Meghawal had said that as part of the process to isolate Pakistan, the economic diplomatic crackdown is on the agenda of the Modi Government.
The PM has already deferred the next permanent Indus Treaty Commission meeting, sending a message to Pakistan that "blood and water cannot flow at the same time."
India has also launched a campaign against Pakistan at the United Nations' platforms for aiding and abetting terrorism.
