PM Modi pays homage to his predecessor Narasimha Rao

New Delhi, June 28 (UNI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid homage to his predecessor P V Narasimha Rao on his birth anniversary and hailed him for leading India as a 'crucial juncture' of country's history.

"Remembering Shri PV Narasimha Rao Ji on his birth anniversary. A great scholar and veteran administrator, he led the nation at a crucial juncture of our history," the Prime Minister tweeted.

"He (Rao) will be remembered for taking pioneering steps that contributed to national progress," Modi wrote.

Born on June 28, 1921, the Late P V Narasimha Rao expired on December 23, 2004. He was India's Prime Minister between 1991 and 1996.
