Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of the India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC), known as YashoBhoomi, in Delhi’s Dwarka.

He also unveiled the nearly 2 km extension of the Airport Express line, connecting Dwarka Sector 21 to YashoBhoomi Dwarka Sector 25.

This sprawling expo centre in Delhi is positioned among the world's largest MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) facilities.

The operationalisation of YashoBhoomi in Dwarka aligns with PM Modi's vision of establishing top-tier infrastructure for hosting meetings, conferences, and exhibitions on a global scale.

Developed at a cost of approximately Rs 5400 crore, this grand project features an impressive Convention Centre, multiple exhibition halls, and various amenities.

The Convention Center has 15 convention rooms, including the Main auditorium, Grand ballroom, and 13 conference rooms, with a combined capacity of hosting 11,000 delegates. It spans an area exceeding 73,000 square meters.

Notably, the Convention Centre boasts the largest LED media facade in the country, and its plenary hall can accommodate about 6,000 people.
The exhibition hall within "Yashobhoomi" is one of the largest worldwide, covering a total area of 1.07 lakh square meters, destined for trade shows, business events, and exhibitions.

Complementary areas such as media rooms, VVIP lounges, cloakrooms, visitor information centers, and ticketing services will be situated in the foyer.

The auditorium features state-of-the-art automatic seating, offering diverse configurations. Additionally, the wooden flooring and acoustic wall panels enhance the visitor's experience.

The Grand Ballroom, distinguished by its unique ceiling, can accommodate up to 2,500 people. It also includes a substantial open area with 500 seats.

YashoBhoomi has implemented advanced security measures to ensure utmost safety.

The mega expo center in Dwarka offers an underground parking facility with over 3,000 parking spaces, as well as more than 100 electric charging points.

With the inauguration of the new metro station "Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25," the convention centre is now seamlessly linked to the Delhi Airport Metro Express line.

The YashoBhoomi metro station will have three subways. One spanning 735 meters to link the station with the convention center, Central Arena, and exhibition halls; a second connecting the entry/exit across the Dwarka Motorway; and a third linking the Metro station to the foyer of the upcoming Yashobhoomi exhibition halls.

In addition, Delhi Metro intends to reduce travel time by elevating the operating speed of Metro trains on the Airport Express Line from 90 to 120 km/hr. This enhancement will allow for a travel duration of approximately 21 minutes between "New Delhi" and "Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25."
