Police seize Rs 8.88 lakh from three men in Guwahati

Guwahati, Dec 2 (IBNS) : After the demonetisation exercise, police on Friday seized Rs 8.88 lakh in new currency from Assam’s Guwahati city.


Guwahati city police said that based on intelligence input a police team seized Rs 8.88 lakh cash in new currency from three men.

The nabbed men were identified as Habul Ali, Dinesh Kalita and Jahidul Islam.

The nabbed three revealed that, they had exchanged scraping notes in percentage basis.
