Thiruvanthapuram, Jul 11 (IBNS) At a time when sleuths are on toes to trace out a band of 21 missing people from Kerala, who are suspected to have joined the terror outfit ISIS, the report of a pregnant woman being one of them has added an extra dimension to the crisis.

Nimisha, 25,  is believed to be among those  who have disappeared mysteriously from Kerala’s two districts and joined the terror outfit as the mother of the pregnant woman has met Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and sought investigations into the matter.

Hindustan Times quoted a senior intelligence officer as saying, “We fear the worst. All 20 are off the radar for more than a month. Out of four messages the relatives have received, one is from Afghanistan and another from Egypt. The other two we couldn’t decode. We will be able to track their passport and visa entries by Monday. We think they are in a trouble-torn area now.”

Feroze, one among those missing, has however, been held in Mumbai.

Bindu, said  daughter Nimisha came along with her husband to her house on May 16 last and on May 18, she received a call from her daughter that she was going to Sri Lanka on some business.

"She did not reveal from where she was calling even though I asked her repeatedly," Bindu said.

Nimisha was a final year Dental student in Kasaragod when she met and got married to a Christian youth, who later converted to Islam along with her.

Nimisha has not answered any calls from her mother after that day. Her mother then contact her daughter-in-law’s who said that the young couple were going on a pilgrimage to Sri Lanka. Nimisha was said to be pregnant at that time.

The Kerala government on Monday ordered a probe into the incident.

Meanwhile, families of two more youths filed a complaint before Chandera police in Kasaragod about disappearance. Although the two youths had called up to say they would return during Eid they did not return. All the missing persons are stated to be below the age of 30 and highly qualified.
