President condoles passing away of Prof. Sanwar Lal Jat

New Delhi, Aug 9 (IBNS): President of India Ram Nath Kovind has condoled the passing away of Member of Parliament (LS) Prof. Sanwar Lal Jat.

In a condolence message to his son, Kailash Lamba, the President has said, “I am sad to learn about the sudden demise of your father, Prof. Sanwar Lal Jat."

"Prof. Jat served the nation in various capacities including as Member of Parliament, Union Minister of State, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Cabinet Minister, Government of Rajasthan and Minister of State (Independent Charge), Government of Rajasthan. In his death, the nation has lost a distinguished leader who was always in touch with the grassroots of society," said Kovind.

"Please accept my heartfelt condolences and convey the same to other members of your family. May you all have the strength to bear this irreparable loss with courage and fortitude," he added.
