President congratulates medal winners in Asian Games 2014

New Delhi, Sept 29 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee has congratulated medal winners in Asian Games 2014.

These include Saurabh Ghosal, Mahesh Mangaonkar,  Harinder Pal Sandhu and  Kush Kumar for winning Gold medal in Squash (Men’s Team);  Dipika Pallikal,  Joshna Chinappa, Anaka Alankamony and Aparajitha Balamurukan for winning Silver medal in Squash (Women’s Team); Abhishek Verma for winning Silver medal in Archery (Men’s Compound Individual); Trisha Deb for winning Bronze medal in Archery (Women’s Compound Individual); Khushbir Kaur for winning Silver medal in Athletics (Women’s 20 km Race Walk); Chain Singh for winning Bronze medal in Shooting (Men’s 50 m Rifle 3 Positions); Vinesh Phogat for winning Bronze medal in Wrestling (Women’s Freestyle 48 kg); Geetika Jakhar for winning Bronze medal in Wrestling (Women’s Freestyle 63 kg); and Yuki Bhambri for winning Bronze medal in Tennis (Men’s Singles).

In individual messages that has been sent to the winners, the President said, "The nation is proud of you and your accomplishment, which has brought joy and pride to all Indians."

"I wish you the very best in all your future endeavours," Mukherjee said.
