President of India to visit three Northeastern states from Nov 19 to 22

New Delhi, Nov 18 (IBNS): PresidentRam Nath Kovind will visit three Northeastern States – Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Manipur - from Nov 19 to 22, 2017.

This is his first visit to these states as the President of India.

On November 19, 2017, the President will grace the valedictory function of the completion of 40 years of the Vivekananda Kendra in Itanagar.

He will also address Legislators at a special session of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly in Itanagar on the same day.

On November 20, 2017, the President will grace the closing ceremony of the Namami Barak festival in Silchar. On the same day, he will attend a civic reception hosted in his honour at Guwahati University in Guwahati.

On November 21, 2017, the President will inaugurate the Northeast Development Summit in Imphal. He will also grace the inaugural event of the Manipur Sangai Festival 2017 at Hapta Kangjeibung, Imphal on the same day.

On November 22, 2017, the President will visit the INA War Memorial and Museum at Moirang in Manipur and pay tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose before returning to Delhi.
