President, PM condole Vinod Mehra's death

New Delhi, Mar 8 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday condoled the demise of veteran journalist and Outlook Group's editorial chairman Vinod Mehta.
President Mukherjee condoles the passing away of Vinod Mehta, says the eminent journalist made immense contribution to journalism, an official statement stated.
 
Vinod Mehta died at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on Sunday.
 
He was 72.
 
According to reports, Mehta was on a ventilatory support after he had a massive cardiac arrest on Thursday.
 
He released his second book Editor Unplugged recently.
 
Mehta had worked with several leading publications including Debonair, Sunday Observer, Pioneer and Indian Post.
 
Condoling his demise, Prime Minister Naredra Modi earlier tweeted: "Frank & direct in his opinions, Vinod Mehta will be remembered as a fine journalist & writer. Condolences to his family on his demise."
