President Pranab Mukherjee's wife cremated

New Delhi, Aug 19 (IBNS) President Pranab Mukherjee's wife Suvra Mukherjee was cremated on Wednesday morning, reports said.

She died yesterday at an army hospital following prolonged illness.

The funeral ceremony was attended by Pranab Mukherjee, their three children- Sharmistha, Abhijit and Indrajit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also attended the last rites performed in the Lodhi Road crematorium.
