Prez agrees with govt, says NEET wont apply to states now
A delegation led by Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Tuesday morning at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, met President Pranab Mukherjee, who signed the agreement there.
The Supreme Court had ordered the states and central government to make NEET mandatory, considering reports of cheating in state conducted medical entrance examinations.
The states had opposed the verdict by the apex court, stating disadvantage for regional students if the new rule is implemented.
