New Delhi, Apr 8 (IBNS) Delhi Police on Wednesday arrested Ameen Pehlwan, the prime accused in Turkman Gate road case in which one person was beaten to death by a group of people after his motorcycle hit a car.

Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Satish Upadhyay met the family members of Shahnawaz, the deceased and condemned the incident.

He alleged that some of the accused belonged to the ruling Aam Aadmi Party which the AAP has denied.

AAP spokesperson Ashutosh said, "this has not happened due to AAP supporters. Let there be no politics on dead bodies. Central government and Rajnath Singh are responsible for law and order."

Earlier, four people were arrested after Shahnawaz  was beaten to death in the Turkman Gate area of Old Delhi. As Shahnawaz was returning home with his two children, his motorcycle hit a car. Following an altercation Shahnawaz was badly beaten up. Doctors declared him dead after he was taken to hospital.
