Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Mamata Banerjee, Mayawati among VVIPs to attend Hemant's oath-taking ceremony

Ranchi/UNI: The oath-taking ceremony of Chief Minister (Designate) Hemant Soren will be a grand affair as the occasion is likely to witness almost all the big names among anti-BJP parties will be gracing the grand function to be held at Morhabadi grounds of the state capital on December 29.

As per the information received so far the dignitaries who are almost certain to grace the occasion included Former president Pranab Mukherjee, former AICC president Rahul Gandhi, senior Congress leaders P Chidambaram and Ahmad Patel, AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Singh Yadav and former deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejaswi Yadav.


Among others, Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will also be attending the event.


Names of NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena supremo and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackrey, former UP Chief Minister Mayawati, former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal are also among those who are being expected in this grand show of opposition parties.


Among leaders from South India former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and that of DMK leaders, T R Balu and M K Kanimozhi are also in the list of probable guests. The Congress and the JMM are on their parts working to make the oath-taking the grandest gathering of the opposition leaders as the year heads towards the end.


The Mahagathbandhan under Hemant Soren wrested power in a great style from the BJP by winning 47 seats 6 more than the majority number of 41 in the Jharkhand Assembly. After the results, it also managed to get the support of 3 MLAs of Babulal Marandi and that of lone CPI-ML legislator.
