Protesting students say govt. anti-student, worst in history of India

New Delhi, Feb 23 (IBNS) Protesting against the death of Hyderabad University dalit student Rohith Vemula, a large crowd swept the streets of the capital, calling the incumbent government anti-student friendly.

Speaking to reporters, a protester said, "The present government is the worst in the history. We have never seen such an anti student friendly government who try to oppress backward and minority people."

Vemula had committed suicide earlier, triggering a massive agitation nation wide.

Reports have also stated that Congress Vice President is likely to join the protest.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that he will be meeting Vemula's family and speak to the agitating students.
