Pulwama Attack: CRPF pay tribute to its jawans

New Delhi, Feb 15 (IBNS): The  Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Friday said its flag is flying at half-mast and all its formations observed 2 minutes silence in remembrance of its jawans who died in a terror attack in Pulwama area of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.

CRPF tweeted: " In memory of the Martyrs of Pulwama terrorist attack, all formations of CRPF observed 2 minutes silence. The CRPF flag will fly half mast today.

"

Militants rammed an IED-laden vehicle into a vehicle carrying CRPF at Goripora, Awantipora on Thursday afternoon.

According to reports, the vehicle used by the terrorists was a Mahindra Scorpio and it carried more than 350 kg of explosives.

The attack left 14 CRPF jawans injured.

The incident has been condemned by political leaders across the country.

Even nations like the US, Saudi Arabia and France joined to condemn the incident which left India shocked on a day when it was observing Valentine's Day.
