Pulwama terror attack : A village in Assam mourns the loss of one of its own
Guwahati, Feb 15 (IBNS): A village in Assam is mourning the martyrdom of its son, Maneswar Basumutary, who was a head constable of the CRPF 98 battalion that was attacked by a suicide bomber of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad terror outfit killing nearly 40 Indian soldiers.
Maneswar Basumutary was martyred along with many others in the cowardly terror attack in J&K’s Pulwama on Thursday.
Maneswar Basumutary hailing from Kalbari village near Tamulpur in Assam’s Baksa district, had joined the CRPF in 1994 and served the nation for 25 years.
A pall of gloom has decended in the region.
Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has strongly condemned the cowardly terror attack on the CRPF jawans.
He tweeted – “Terror has no place in India and we must together fight this menace as a nation. My heart goes out to the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives today. Deepest condolences.”
