Qatar FIFA World Cup: Jagdeep Dhankar meets key world leaders

Doha: Indian Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, who is currently on a two-day visit to represent India at the inauguration of FIFA World Cup in Qatar, met UN chief Antonuio Guterres and other world leaders at the sidelines of the mega football event.

He is visiting the country at the invitation of Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

On Sunday, Dhankar met  Sheikh Tamim during the inauguration ceremony of the World Cup at the Al Bayt Stadium.

The official Twitter handle of the Vice President said: "Hon'ble Vice President, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar meeting with HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar during the inaugural of FIFA World Cup 2022 at the Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar today. "

Apart from attending the inaugural ceremony, Guterres also interacted with members of the Indian Community in Doha.
