New Delhi, Oct 30 (IBNS): Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday condoled the death of a Doordarshan cameraman and two policemen in a  Maoist attack in election-bound Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district.

"छत्तीसगढ़ के दंतेवाड़ा में हुए नक्सली हमले की ख़बर से मुझे बहुत दुःख पहुंचा है| शहीद हुए 2 पुलिसकर्मी और दूरदर्शन के कैमरामेन के परिवार के प्रति मैं अपनी गहरी शोक और संवेदना व्यक्त करता हूँ| (The Maoist attack incident in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada area has left me saddened. I express my condolence to the families of deceased cops and cameraman)," Gandhi tweeted.

Two policemen and a cameraperson from national broadcaster Doordarshan died in a Maoist attack in election-bound Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district on Tuesday.

Times Now reported that two other jawans were injured in the attack. They have been rushed to a hospital.

The reports said that a team of Doordarshan news channel had gone to Dantewada to record a documentary film when Maoists ambushed and attacked them.
Three days ago, four soldiers of the Central Reserve Police Force died after Maoists blew up their anti-landmine vehicle in poll-bound Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district. Two other CRPF jawans were injured in the improvised explosive device or IED blast.

The 90 seats of the Chhattisgarh Assembly will vote in two phases - November 12 and November 20. The Maoist-affected districts of southern Chhattisgarh will vote in the first phase of polling.
