Kolkata, June 6 (IBNS): Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi visited Kolkata and attacked both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday.

Addressing his party workers here, Gandhi said PM Modi did not fulfill the 'tall promises' he made in the country before coming to power in the state.

"Before elections Modi ji went to Haryana,Punjab saying when they will come to power,OROP will be done immediately...Modiji made tall promises, promised jobs, tell me have you all got jobs?" Gandhi said.

Gandhi also used the platform to attack Mamata Banerjee and asked the people of West Bengal to remove her from power.

"Now it is up to you to throw Mamataji out of the car & put Congress in driving seat, We will press accelerator," Gandhi said.

Questioning her friendship with the BJP, the Congress vice-president said: "When we were in power, our PM (Manmohan Singh) wanted to go to Bangladesh. We spoke to her and requested her to go with us. But she said no."

"Now, when Modiji is asking her to go with him then she is ready to visit the country. What is the friendship about? You must know the reason," Gandhi said.

Gandhi also interacted with Jute Mill workers in Hooghly.
