Rajasthan: Girl raped by former classmate

Jaipur, Nov 9 (IBNS): A 19-year old girl was raped by one of her former classmate on Monday in Rajasthan's Jaipur, reports said.

The accused molested the victim on the pretext of giving her a lift to home.

Identified as Prateek Nagpal (20), police have registered a case of rape against the accused.

"The girl in the complaint stated that while she was on the way home, the accused took the vehicle to an isolated place in Pratap Nagar area. After the rape the accused left the girl at the spot from where he had picked her. With the help of some people, the girl managed to reach home and narrated her plight to the mother. The family decided to lodge an FIR. We are investigating the matter and have started a hunt for the accused," Times of India quoted a a senior police official of Pratap Nagar police station as stating.
