Rajya Sabha adjourned sine die, Chairman says highly productive session

New Delhi, Aug 12 (IBNS) : The Rajya Sabha was adjourned sine die on Friday after what the Chairman described as a "highly productive session" that witnessed the passage of several key bills, including GST bill.

 “The 240th session of the Rajya Sabha, which commenced on July 18, ends today. The session has been highly productive. There was also debates on several issues of national concern," Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari said in his valedictory speech.

He  said 14 government Bills were passed during the session, including the Constitution (One Hundred Twenty Second) Amendment Bill, 2014.
