Rebel Kerala Congress leader PC George disqualified as MLA

| | Nov 14, 2015, at 05:00 pm
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 14 (IBNS) Rebel Kerala Congress (M) leader, PC George on Friday was disqualified as MLA by Speaker N Sakthan, reports said.

The move came three days after George resigned as a legislator on Tuesday amidst the clamour for Finance Minister KM Mani's resignation over the bar bribery scandal.

Though he was disqualified, his resignation was rejected by the Speaker.

The action to remove him was taken after his alleged involvements with anti-party activities.

George is said to challenge the verdict in a court, reports said.
