Rescuers continue to look for survivors at Taining landslide site in China
Beijing, May 9 (IBNS) After Taining county in China's Fijian province was hit by landslide on Sunday morning, rescuers continued with the their operations overnight, looking for the missing 41 people, reported China's Xinhuanet.
Early morning on Sunday, about 100,000 cubic meters of mud and rocks came downhill, burying a temporary shed at a hydro-power station construction site and damaging its offices, said the news agency.
According to a tweet by Xinhua news, "19 bodies have been found and 20 people remain missing after a landslide hit Taining County in SE China's Fujian."
The Sinohydro Bureau 12 Co. Ltd. is is involved in building extensions to the Chitan hydropower station, along with the Sinohydro Bureau 16 Co., Ltd. Both companies have been involved in the rescue work, media reports said.
